Born and raised in Sweden, Sormeh draws upon her architecture education from Colorado and design education from Denmark to aid her goal of creating positive impact on the world. She’s designed and built the most talked about spaces in LA’s social renaissance. Her resume includes spots such as Hooray Henry’s, Blind Dragon, Shorebar, Bootsy Bellows, The Nice Guy and The Fort at Mammoth Mountain—all done by the age of 27. She leads Sormeh Azad LLC and Kollektiv, both full-service design studios with construction and fabrication in-house. She hopes her clientele will feel more inspired to contribute in whatever area they specialize in, and she hasn’t let them down yet.
