Oana Stănescu works in architecture, design and education. Prior to establishing her eponymous studio she lived and worked in Japan, South Africa and Switzerland before before founding the recently shuttered Family in 2010. Family New York client list included Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh, 2x4, Arup, Nike, Tom Sachs, the New Museum, the
Storefront for Art and Architecture and Kanye West. 

She currently teaches at Harvard GSD and Cooper Union and has lectured at SCIARC, Cranbrook Art Academy, Neocon and Design Miami, amongst others. Oana Stănescu’s work has been covered extensively and she has been profiled by the NYTimes and Forbes. 

Some of her current collaborations include a study for a theater and museum coming together in Norway, an art installation titled “Breathe” and a museum in Tehran.
